Mentorship Direct is an innovative mentorship programme, specifically designed to offer support and guidance to students aiming to venture into a specific careers. Our mentors are from the legal and science background and they have been specifically chosen to cultivate the knowledge of mentees in their chosen fields. The mentorship programme has been carefully designed and structured, so everything is conducted via email.
The role of a mentor will be to provide academic based advice and guidance to the mentee under his or her supervision. The mentor and mentee will be required to be in contact at least once a month to discuss the progress of the mentee. These scheduled meetings will be the opportunity for the mentee to ask any questions and seek the mentors’ advice as to the best way to move forward. This could be in form of alternative career paths or other options that the mentee may not have considered previously.
The mentorship programme is designed to help the mentee with all the support possible with their studies. The mentors are providing their free time to help the mentee whilst studying and provide advice and guidance. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the mentee to ensure that s/he keeps in contact with their mentor. The mentor will play their part in checking progress, but it is for the mentee to schedule appointments/meetings.
