The role of a mentor is to provide academic based advice and guidance to the mentee under his or her supervision. The mentor and mentee will be required to be in contact at least once a month to discuss the progress of the mentee. These scheduled meetings will be the opportunity for the mentee to ask any questions and seek the mentors’ advice as to the best way to move forward. This could be in form of alternative career paths or other options that the mentee may not have considered previously.
